OKLAHOMA CITY – When you encounter a sheriff’s deputy, you probably assume you have done something wrong.

However, the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office says they wanted to brighten citizens’ days with random acts of kindness.

Instead of handing out tickets, deputies spread a little Christmas cheer by handing out cash.

The deputies are using a donation from the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 155 to surprise residents across the metro.
