*** A HEAT WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR CENTRAL, NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA THROUGH TOMORROW. THIS INCLUDES THE OKLAHOMA CITY METRO.  A HEAT INDEX BETWEEN 105 TO 113 WILL BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! A HEAT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE REST OF THE STATE WITH A FORECAST HEAT INDEX OF 100-110. ***

Highs will soar to the upper 90s and low 100s this afternoon under mostly sunny skies.

A few storms are possible tomorrow afternoon in western Oklahoma.

It’s a very low chance.

If the storms form, they could briefly turn severe with large hail and damaging winds.

The heat dome will strengthen and build continuing our late-July heat through next week.

Be safe and stay cool! Please remember your pets as well!
