OKLAHOMA CITY - One of our state's largest employers is looking to hire about 200 people.

Tana Cashion, Vice President of Devon Energy Human Resources, said, "There's always people getting ready to retire or that have something come up and they're relocating with their family, who knows what, but changes happen."

Devon Energy is hanging out the help wanted sign.

The massive skyscraper is host to thousands of employees, some working in the new building and some out in the field.

Cashion said, "We're always looking for qualified petro-technical individuals, that would be engineers, geologists, land professionals."

It's not just specialized professionals they're looking to hire, Cashion said with around 200 open positions, there's something for almost any skill set and level.

They have openings ranging from IT to administrative positions.

Cashion said, "the bottom line is we are always looking for people to bring great skills and really fit our culture."

This week Devon announced they were once again, for the sixth year in a row, ranked as one of Fortune Magazine's Top 100 Places to Work.

They have moved up one spot from last year to 27 on the list.

Cashion said, "It's a nice external look at what we believe is a wonderful culture at Devon."

Each day dozens of people file in to the building for interviews.

It's a competitive company but one full of opportunities for potential new hires.

Cashion said, "It's amazing when you're able to work for a company that really has the type of value-based culture we do."

Devon Energy will be hosting a job fair to help fill some of those specialized positions Jan. 22.
