EDMOND, Okla.—An early morning wreck forced crews to shut down parts of I-35 Saturday. The accident happened around 1 a.m. near the 15th St. exit. Authorities say a car heading north hit a curb and crashed into the center median wall.

The impact jammed its doors shut and rescue crews were called to clear the scene.

Troopers shut down the highway for two hours.

The car’s doors had to be pried open to get the driver and passenger out of the car.

They were rushed to a local hospital; no word on their conditions.

The highway was reopened shortly after 3 a.m. on Saturday.
