UPDATE: The eastbound lanes of I-40 are back open after a hole in the bridge closed lanes and ramps Thursday morning.

Officials said the repairs have been completed.

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – A hole in the Crutcho Creek Bridge has narrowed I-40 eastbound to one lane near S.E. 15th St. this morning.

Officials said the eastbound I-40 ramp from Sunnylane Rd. is also closed.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation said it found a two-foot hole in the right lane of eastbound I-40.

ODOT said the repairs will take at least half the day to complete.

Officials are asking drivers to find an alternate route until then.
