MOORE, Okla. – One man is dead after gunfire at a house  party in Moore, Okla.

It happened at a house on Astoria Dr. near S.W. 104th St. and Sante Fe just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Witnesses say a fight broke out at a house party, which escalated to a shooting.

When officers arrived to the home, they found the body of 21-year-old Eric James Monroe with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police detained several people at the scene but ultimately arrested 24-year-old Richard Clay Scudder.

Witnesses say Scudder and Monroe were very close friends.

Scudder was booked into the Cleveland County Jail for first-degree murder.

At this time, the details surrounding the murder are still under investigation.
