Hundreds of senior citizens team up with law enforcement for ‘Senior prom’

OKLAHOMA CITY – Hundreds of senior citizens gathered Tuesday afternoon with members of law enforcement for a fun event.

Tuesday afternoon, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.,  approximately 500 senior citizens came together for the 18th annual Young at Heart Senior Prom.

Attendees were treated with hor d’oeuvres, live music, a veteran’s appreciation ceremony, prom photos, dancing and the crowing of a prom king and queen.

INTEGRIS Third Age Life, the Midwest City Police Department, the Oklahoma City Police Department, the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, and the Oklahoma Country TRIAD volunteers hosted the event at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
