A popular car company is recalling hundreds of thousands of vehicles for an issue with the car’s power steering.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Hyundai is recalling more than 200,000 vehicles for a power steering defect that increases the risk of a crash.

The recall affects Elantra sedans that were produced between 2008 and 2010.

It also affects Elantra touring hatchbacks from 2009 to 2010.

Hyundai says about 3 percent of those vehicles have the defect.
