One dead after head- on collision overnight on I-35 near Moore

UPDATE: 7:00a.m.- Oklahoma Highway Patrol has confirmed one person died in a head- on collision casued by a driver driving in the wrong direction on I-35 northbound early Sunday morning.  A name has not been released.

UPDATE: 2:30 a.m.- Interstate 35 is back open after a wrong- way driver collided with another vehicle. The head- on collision occured around 11:45 p.m. Paramedics worked for over two hours trying to free a driver trapped in a vehicle.  OHP is still investigating. No word on the condition of the driver.

UPDATE 1:06 a.m. – One person remains trapped after a wrong- way driver collides with traffic traveling northbound on I-35.

MOORE, Okla. – Authorities closed Interstate 35 near the 4th Street exit in Moore late Saturday night.

A wrong- way driver going southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 collided with another vehcile.

Northbound traffic is being diverted at 12th Street.
