ADA, Okla. – A car lot owner took matters into his own hands when thieves targeted his lot.

On Thursday, Marc McGee says a mechanic noticed that several pieces of property were missing from the shop.

In all, McGee tells KXII that thieves made off with several sets of keys, a trailer, a $14,000 motor and a 2006 Dodge pickup truck.

He reported the crime to police, but decided to take matters into his own hands when spotted his pickup truck driving past the lot the next day.

“I just don’t like people taking things from us,” he said.

Immediately, McGee jumped into his vehicle and started following the pickup truck.

Deputies soon took over and arrested 29-year-old Corey White and 25-year-old Johnny Rowland.

McGee says authorities were able to recover almost all of the stolen property.
