OKLAHOMA - A fed up grandpa takes matters into his own hands after his grandson is nearly robbed.

Harvey Privett isn't your typical grandpa.

"I used to do investigating," explained Privett. "I also was a bounty hunter."

This bounty hunter came out of retirement on Wednesday, when a 16 year old allegedly tried to rob his grandson near their home.

"I heard my grandson running and screaming, could hear him outside screaming 'that dude tried to rob me!'," said Privett. "We went to go find the guy."

That search didn't last long. With handcuffs at the ready, Harvey said they found the would be thief right around the corner.

"I took him to the ground, I had a few people assist me."

One of those helper was a neighbor named Jim.

Jim has lived near Harvey for some time, and both agree that crime is now a part of every day life in their little neighborhood.

So with this alleged robbery, the two decided it's time they take a stand, to save their neighborhood.

"Well when they start preying on school kids, someone's gotta do something," said Jim.

Police arrived to find their would be thief already cuffed.

The juvenile was quickly arrested, but his name has not been released.

Harvey hopes this story will send a message to other criminals near his home.

"I'm not no hero or nothing," said Harvey. "I'm just done, I'm tired."
