OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City bar was busted for running an illegal gambling ring.

Police confiscated gambling devices from Sydney’s Bar, located in the 1200 block of southwest 59th street in a shopping center.

Business owners in that shopping center say the activities of the bar have plagued them for years, and gambling isn`t the only problem.

“There has been people on drugs, doing drugs. They`ve seen people having sex in the back.” said restaurant owner Cecilia Cardenas

Master Sergeant Gary Knight with Oklahoma City Police says they found two slot machines and pull tabs or break away cards.

Knight also says the establishment was also accepting sports betting.

Cardenas says Sydney’s is bad for her business.

“It`s supposed to be a family restaurant and when there’s a place like that, a lot of families don`t want to bring their families around. So I think it does kind of affect our business.” said Cardenas

Right now owner Barry Young faces of number of charges, including commercial gambling and possession of a gambling device.

Young hasn’t been arrested yet, but the district attorney says he has signed off on the charges.
