SEMINOLE, Okla. – Police are looking for answers surrounding an Oklahoma mother’s death.

Her body was found in a ditch Sunday morning in Seminole, and police are investigating her death as a hit-and-run.

Authorities believe 26-year-old Vicky Holata was hit by a car and left to die.

She leaves behind three young children, and now her friends and family are desperately hoping someone comes forward with information on what happened.

“I’m angry that someone just hit her and left her like she’s nobody,” Priscilla Douglas said.

Vicky Holata was definitely somebody to her best friend, Priscilla Douglas.

“She is someone’s mother, daughter, friend, sister, and she was just left on the side of the road like that. That angers me so bad, so bad,” Douglas said.

Authorities say it happened in the 300 block of Boren Blvd. in Seminole sometime Saturday night.

Douglas says Vicky’s boyfriend lives in Seminole, and the ditch where she was found isn’t far from his home.

“Her babies were so close to her, and they loved her so much. I know they’re going to be so confused because they’re all young,” Douglas said.

Douglas says Vicky went for a walk Saturday night, and her friends started to worry when no one could reach her.

Her body was found just after 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Investigators are now trying to piece together what happened.

Douglas told police about some threats made against Vicky recently on Facebook.

“I’m not going to stop until we find out,” Douglas says. “She was an amazing human being… woman… friend, and that’s how I’m going to remember her.”

Anyone with information on the case should call Seminole police at (405) 382-3434.

Friends of Vicky Holata’s family have set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for her funeral expenses.
