UPDATE 8/14/15 – Shelley Hilley just fell in love with her home all over again.

“I kept coming out last night looking at it,” she said. “My neighbors are like, ‘What are you doing?’ I was like, ‘My house is pretty.’”

Last time we caught up with her, her house looked like a mess and she was trying to hunt down contractor, Robert Conner, for her $3,000 refund.

We surprised Shelley with a free paint job from Robert Norris and CertaPro Painters.

After a rainy spring they made good on their promise.

“I appreciate them more than they will ever know,” Shelley said. “They did an awesome job.”

While things really came together out here Shelley’s dealing with more problems inside.

“There’s a big crack and the paint is peeling off,” she said.

And now there’s mold in her closet.

Robert Conner was supposed to seal her roof.

Shelley says he put something up there, but whatever it was didn’t work.

We know a second customer sued Conner for an unfinished remodel job and won.

Shelley thought about suing, but says moving on makes more sense.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Shelley Hilley has a gripe against Robert Conner.

She paid the contractor $3,000 to paint the outside of her house.

A year later there’s still no paint job.

So what happened to Conner and the cash?

Receipts show he got paid in full.

Shelley says her heart hurts over the ordeal.

“My mom passed away a couple years ago and this was her house,” she said.

She wants to make her mom proud with a new coat of paint.

We couldn't get Conner to call us back, so we found another paint contractor, one we trust, willing to finish the job.

Robert Norris and CertaPro Painters wants to do the job at no cost to Shelley.

“We're going to come in and take care of that project for you, get everything painted,” he said.

Shelley was so surprised.

“Oh my gosh,” she said. “I love you guys. You're the best!”

Sherwin Williams has even offered to donate the paint!

There are so many reasons to give thanks.

“This is the best Christmas present ever because I don't have family anymore and you guys made my Christmas."
