LAWTON, Okla.- Police are still searching for the person responsible for claiming the life of a Lawton man.

According to KSWO,  investigators found Michael Smith’s body on Saturday night inside his home.

Authorities say he had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Neighbors describe Smith as a family man who was always spending time with his children.

“I heave never heard anything there really,” said Patricia Stewart. “I’ve heard kids on the trampoline, and I like the noise of kids having fun. I’ve never heard a ruckus.”

Authorities say they are still searching for witnesses that could help them solve Smith’s murder.
