Jenna Bush Hager, the daughter of former President George W. Bush, gave birth Thursday to a baby girl named Poppy Louise Hager, a name that’s an homage to her grandfather Bush 41.

Poppy is the second child of the NBC News correspondent and her husband Henry Hager, and was named after her grandfather, former President George H.W. Bush, whose nickname as a child was “poppy.”

“We are proud to name her after a man we so adore,” Henry Hager told NBC’s Today show.

Bush Hager told Savannah Guthrie on the show Friday that when they FaceTimed with the proud grandfather he was “very emotional.”

Poppy weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz.

The baby’s middle name, Louise, is in honor of Jenna and Henry’s grandmothers’ middle names, Louise and Lewis, Today reported.
