QUINCY, MASSACHUSETTS - No one is above the law, not even your own father.
5-year-old Robbie Richardson is being called a real life "Kindergarten Cop" after dialing 911, telling the dispatcher that his dad ran a red light.
Quincy Police shared the 911 call on their Facebook page.
The pint-sized backseat driver says, "My daddy went past a red light. He has a black truck and he is in a brand new car, my mommy's car."
The dispatcher asked to speak to his dad, so Robbie handed the phone off to his father, stating, "Someone just called."
When the dispatcher filled him in, Mike Richardson laughed and apologized for the call, stating that he did, in fact, go through a red light.
However, he stopped, then turned right on red, which is perfectly legal.
Richardson told WCVB, "He says, 'Dad, you went thru a red light,' and I said, 'Yeah, you can turn on red.' 'No, you can't, that light's red, you stay there.' He goes, 'I'm calling the police.'"
Legal turn or not, Robbie tells NECN that his dad shouldn't be let off the hook so easily. "I told the police, I told him to give him a ticket," Robbie said.
