MANHATTAN, NY.– Amazon has recently released a new one-hour delivery program for those on a bit of a time crunch.
The program allows customers to go online and purchase items of their choice. Then, for an extra fee, the ordered package will be delivered in one hour or less.
An CNBC reporter tested it out, and the results were “impressive.”
Amazon has also included a tracker that shows exactly where your package is in real time. Of course, as a new program, there were still some glitches here and there. The CNBC reporter noticed that the tracker cut out, so at one point he couldn’t tell exactly where the delivery man was.
But the process only took 30 minutes from the time he placed his order until the package showed up at his door.
The program insists on a $5 tip, but that can be adjusted upon placing the order.
Amazon will expand the program to other cities in 2015.
