OKLAHOMA CITY – The restaurant that used to be a tribute to an Oklahoma City Thunder star is officially opening under its new name.
Legacy Grill, the newest restaurant concept offered by Hal Smith Restaurants, opens today in Bricktown.
The restaurant focuses on celebrated Oklahomans and their unique contributions to the world of athletics, business, entertainment, public policy and more, while offering an updated menu in the space previously occupied by Kd’s Southern Cuisine.
“We’re excited about the opening of Legacy Grill – it’s a great spot to bring an out-of-town guest, celebrate a special night out or enjoy a family dinner,” said Hal Smith, the restaurant group’s founder and CEO. “Our team has done a superb job recognizing the legacy of distinguished Oklahomans while still maintaining a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere that brings a great energy to the place.”
The menu features diverse fare with something for all palettes, whether guests are in the mood for fried or fresh.
Guest favorites include fried chicken, country fried steak and pan-seared lemon tilapia with shrimp.
New options include a shrimp sauté linguine, 14-ounce ribeye topped with mushrooms, a French dip sandwich and more.
Smith said guest feedback has been factored into each decision.
Guests will be surrounded by images and memorabilia of more than 200 distinguished Oklahomans, from astronauts and actors, to civil rights activists and civic leaders, to sports stars and singers, and many more.
Featured Oklahomans will rotate regularly over time and will celebrate the diversity of Oklahoma’s population, representing not only a range of professions and contributions, but also a variety of races, ages and perspectives.
Legacy Grill is located at 224 Johnny Bench Drive in Bricktown and is open for dinner seven days per week and for lunch Friday through Sunday.
