OKLAHOMA CITY - An Oklahoma City police lieutenant is on paid leave after he was arrested in the middle of an FBI prostitution sting.

36-year-old Alex Edwards was booked into the county jail this weekend on numerous complaints, including aiding in prostitution, obstruction of justice and conspiracy to commit a felony.

He allegedly solicited sex from 21-year-old Kiani Mongi and alerted her of an FBI sting.

Now, defense attorneys said dozens of cases being prosecuted that Edwards touched could be tainted because of his involvement in the investigations of them.

Edwards is free on a $50,000 bond.
