Lightning strike starts oil tank fire

OKLAHOMA CITY — The oil tank fire is controlled but officials are asking everyone directly south of the burn near S.W. 15th St. and Morgan Rd. to stay inside just as a precaution. Lighting struck a Yukon Drilling Fluids, Inc. oil tank battery igniting a processing tank around 8:30 a.m.

Authorities say the product tanks are still intact.

The Department of Environmental quality is on the way to the scene.  

No injuries have been reported.
