OKLAHOMA CITY – Working through the pain, an artist at last weekend’s Paseo Arts Festival does not let a debilitating illness keep him from his passion.

Suffering with a rare pain disorder, he is inspired by the subjects on his own canvas.

Daryl Price is an artist who started painted about 8 and a half years ago.

Price says he started painting after he was became disabled with a neurological disease.

The artist says he is almost always in pain.

Price took up painting as a way to help deal with the pain.

“I found joy through hardship, just like the blues artists do.”
