OKLAHOMA CITY – November 19th is International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day and this year, those survivors can be part of a great event hosted by the Central Oklahoma Suicide Prevention Task Force.

The task force is operated by staff and volunteers from local organizations such as Heartline, Integris Health, Crossings Community Church, Edmond Family Counseling, the Edmond Police Department, and the National Alliance of Mental Illness.

Dr. Charles Lillard with the Central Oklahoma Suicide Prevention Task Force and Valerie Hearron Castle, who has lost someone to suicide, both stopped by Rise and Shine to talk with us about this year’s event.
