UPDATE (8 p.m.): The man who died after being shot at an Oklahoma City apartment complex, suffered the wounds during a gun battle with his mother, according to Oklahoma City police.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was shot multiple times by his mother at Bennett Ridge Apartments at Northwest 82nd and Rockwell on Wednesday evening. He also fired shots, hitting his mother multiple times, police officials said.

The man died at a hospital. His mother is still receiving treatment at a hospital.
