Crews begin demolishing old Oklahoma City Police Headquarters

Local

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The old headquarters for the Oklahoma City Police Department in downtown Oklahoma City is being demolished.

In 2015, the police department moved operations to a new building downtown.

On Monday, crews started the demolition process by taking down the parking garage.

Officials expect the demolition process to take about 45 days. Once the debris is cleared from the site, crews will turn it into a parking lot.
