UPDATE: One person died in a five-vehicle crash near Airport and South MacArthur roads in Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

The crash occurred around 5 p.m.

An official with the Oklahoma City Police Department said Tuesday night that one of the individuals involved in the crash died from injuries.

Two other people were transported to a hospital. Their injuries are not life-threatening, the official said.

Airport Road’s eastbound traffic was shut down to allow emergency responders to work the scene. Traffic was reopened after about an hour and 10 minutes.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – First responders are on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in western Oklahoma City Tuesday evening.

Authorities were called to the scene near Airport Rd. and S. MacArthur Rd. around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Eastbound traffic on Airport Rd. has been shutdown while responders work the scene.

Scanner traffic indicates this may be a fatality incident.
