OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KFOR) – Authorities are searching for a suspect connected to a deadly shooting in southwest Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City police confirm that one person has died after being shot near SW 72nd Street and S Pennsylvania Avenue.

The shooting happened around 10 p.m. on Thursday night.

When officers arrived at the scene, the victim’s body was found in a drainage ditch.

“We did have a witness who heard a couple of shots fired and did see someone run from the area,” said Lt. Jeff Cooper, with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

There is currently no information on the suspect and no further details have been released at this time.
