OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Police are investigating after a person was hit by a car in northwest Oklahoma City.

Shortly after 1 a.m. on Tuesday, emergency crews were called to an accident involving a pedestrian near MacArthur and Melrose.

Investigators say the victim was walking in the street and the driver could not see them.

Officials say the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene.
