OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Customers of one Oklahoma electric company may have to end up paying a little more each month to fund improvements to the grid.

Public Service Company of Oklahoma recently filed an applications with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission to increase its prices.

Officials say the increase is needed to update the power grid and meet federal requirements.

For typical residential customers, the increase is expected to be about 1 cent per kilowatt.
