Remembering fallen officers during Edmond Police Academy

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) — The Edmond Police academy is 21-weeks of specialized training as new recruits how to become cadets which then the can graduate to being officers.

During every academy crosses are placed outside the facility representing officers who have been killed in the line of duty.

Last week, Edmond Police Department reports there are 47 crosses on the lawn.

The EPD academy began in late May.
