OKLAHOMA CITY (OK STATE DEPT. OF EDUCATION) — In this week’s edition of ShapED My Life, Oklahoma City native and chef extraordinaire Rick Bayless tells the story of an incredible teacher from his youth who is also a civil rights legend.

Bayless, who is well-known for sharing his passion for Mexican cuisine in his restaurants, cook books and television shows, is now sharing his memories of Clara Luper.
