Comedian Louis C.K. is comparing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.

In Saturday’s email about his web series “Horace and Pete“, C.K. wrote Trump was funny at first.

However, the comedian wrote Trump is the Nazi leader, and the United States is like Germany in the 1930s.

He also said a vote for Trump would be, quote, “a version of national suicide.”

C.K. said he was not advocating for Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders and he would indeed welcome a “good smart conservative” to take on the eventual Democratic nominee.

However, he added, “Trump is not that. He’s an insane bigot. He is dangerous.”

The actor is the latest in a string of public figures to condemn and compare Trump to Hitler.

Others include former president of Mexico Vicente Fox and former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman.
