A few major schools districts across the state said students will be out of class for a second day in a row.

So far, leaders with Mid-Del Public Schools, Edmond Public Schools and Norman Public Schools announced schools are closed today.

A winter storm moved through the area Sunday, causing neighborhood streets and side roads across the state to be covered in sleet and snow.

Many districts have said are concerned about students who must walk to class and the ability of school buses to maneuver through those neighborhood streets.

Major districts closed Tuesday:

  • Mid-Del Public Schools
  • Norman Public Schools
  • Edmond Public Schools
  • Moore Public Schools
  • Choctaw-Nicoma Park Public Schools
  • Western Heights Public Schools
  • Putnam City Public Schools
  • Deer Creek Public Schools
  • Oklahoma City Public Schools
  • University of Oklahoma is opening later than usual.
