OKLAHOMA CITY – A 12-year-old Oklahoma City girl had quite the scare when a man allegedly broke into her apartment while she was home alone.

The little girl’s parents had just left for the store when she heard someone banging on the door of her apartment in the 6000 block of NW 10th Street, a police report states.

She immediately called her mom to tell her about what was going on.

The little girl went into the hallway, where she could see the front door wide open.

That is when she says she saw 20-year-old Jonathan Estrada standing in her living room.

The girl told police she recognized Estrada as a neighbor who lives across from their apartment.

According to a police report, as soon as Estrada saw the little girl, he ran out of the apartment.

The little girl’s mother immediately called police to report the alleged burglary.

She also called a relative who lives in a nearby apartment.

The relative reportedly rushed over and saw Estrada walking away from the apartment.

He approached the man and asked him to sit down on the curb until police arrived, which he did.

When officers arrived they found that the apartment’s door did appear to be forced open.

Estrada was arrested for burglary.
