MUSTANG, Okla. – One man was arrested for allegedly engaging in sexual acts with a minor he met through an online app.

A Mustang police officer says he approached a suspicious vehicle parked in a public utilities parking lot around 3 a.m. on Monday.

Inside the car was 37-year-old Edward Thomas Sprague and a 15-year-old female.

Sprague told the officer he picked up the girl while she was walking home and that they were just talking before she went back home.

However, when the teen was questioned in front of her father, she told the officer she met Sprague using an online app.

The girl told the officer that she met with Sprague several times and they had engaged in oral sex.

Sprague was arrested and charged with lewd or indecent acts with a minor, forcible sodomy, and rape by instrumentation
