GRESHAM, Ore. -A man who was told to move out of his mother’s home was arrested after allegedly going on a violent rampage.

A woman called police, saying her 27-year-old son had turned violent when she asked him to move out.

According to a police report, the woman’s home was found “demolished and trashed.”

Investigators say they found a smashed car windshield, broken pictures, figurines and lamps.

Police say a liquid had been poured on the carpet and walls, and threatening messages were scrawled across doors and on pieces of paper.

Also, a cat was found dead with its throat appearing to have been cut.

Investigators say 27-year-old Jonathan Wagner’s mother asked him to move out her home and put some of his belongings in boxes.

He was gone from the scene by the time officers arrived but was arrested a short time later.

He is facing charges of criminal mischief and aggravated animal abuse.
