GERMANY — A 23-year-old man was fined for drugging his girlfriend so he could play video games without interruption.

In August of 2014, the woman came home from work…her boyfriend was playing video games.

He allegedly put a sedative in her tea, putting her to sleep until midday the next day, according to her testimony.

The man admits he was on drugs at the time, and “only put four or five drops [of the sedative] into her tea.”

The 24-year-old woman did not suffer any injuries from the incident, but the man was fined the equivalent of $551 for premeditated bodily harm.

“It was stupid, but now I’m on a straight path,” the man said, adding that he has not taken drugs in 10 months.

Neither of their names have been released.
