Man allegedly high on PCP attacked local police officer

OKLAHOMA CITY – A man allegedly high on PCP attacked a local police officer.

Police say they had to tase, pepper spray and even hit Melvin Bishop with a baton a number of times before they could get him in hand cuffs.

It all started when a woman called 911 because Bishop allegedly refused to get out of her car.

Aside from allegedly taking PCP, witnesses say Bishop had been drinking all day, making the situation especially dangerous for police.
