Man arrested after allegedly trying to set girlfriend on fire

OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City man was arrested after allegedly trying to set his girlfriend on fire.

On Tuesday, authorities were called to an apartment along N.W. 6th St. on a domestic disturbance.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim told  police that 18-year-old Maurice Fisher told her that he was going to set her and her apartment on fire.

At that point, the victim claims Fisher began spraying her with lighter fluid.

When she pushed him away, she claims Fisher headbutted her, causing her right eye to swell.

According to the report, Fisher told police that the victim was the one who poured lighter fluid on him for no reason. He added that he didn’t know why her right eye was swollen.

Fisher was arrested for fourth-degree arson, violation of domestic abuse act and assault and battery.
