TULSA, Okla. — A man was arrested Saturday for a fatal hit and run at 51st and Memorial.

Forrest Miller died in the accident, and police later arrested 37-year-old Brian Layfield.

Authorities say Miller was northbound on Memorial when Layfield pulled out of a McDonald’s parking lot without yielding and slammed into Miller’s motorcycle.

Officials say Layfield then made a u-turn, pulled into a parking lot about a block away, and then switched seats with the female passenger.

Reports say a witness chased him down.

“There’s no doubt that he knew he was in a collision and he should have stopped immediately to render aid,” said Capt. Matt McCord with Tulsa police.

Layfield’s bond has been set at $120,400.
