Update 3:00 p.m. 6/17 – The Medical Examiner announced Tuesday they have listed Rachel Rogers death as a homicide caused by blunt force trauma to the head.

VILLAGE, Okla. – Authorities say they have arrested a man suspected of raping and assaulting two women in the Village, killing one of them.

47-year-old Albert Johnson remains in the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of first-degree murder and two counts of rape.

Officers say he could also face an additional kidnapping charge.

Police received a call about an assault early Friday morning at a home on Lakeside Dr.

Officials found two women in the home with severe injuries.

They were rushed to a nearby hospital but one of the women, 25-year-old Rachel Rogers, died from her injuries.

Rogers was a friend of the other victim who lived in the home.

Johnson was arrested Friday night and is being held without bond.
