OKLAHOMA CITY – A man was arrested for a brutal attack in S.E. Oklahoma City.

Eddie Camacho, 42, was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and maiming.

His charges stem from an incident that occurred on Feb. 19.

Around 4:05 p.m., officers were called to the area of S.E. 39th and Shields on a check the welfare call.

When officers arrived, a man was being transported to a local hospital.

According to the police report, the man’s hand was cut “so severely that it looked like it was hanging on by threads.”

Officers followed a blood trail that led from the corner of S.E. 39th and Shields, where the victim was found, all the way to a shed in the 230 block of S.E. 39th.

A witness told police officers that he saw Camacho confront the victim inside the shed.

The witness says he heard Camacho say something to the victim before he ran out of the shed in a hurry.

When police went to Camacho’s home, someone at the house said Camacho admitted to getting into a fight earlier.

No word on what sparked the altercation.

After six days, authorities were able to locate Camacho and take him into custody.
