OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities say they arrested a man who was allegedly attempting to steal a television from a local Wal-Mart  and pulled a knife on security officers inside the store.

Police rushed to the Wal-Mart, located near I-240 and Santa Fe, after being told about a shoplifting in progress.

The caller told the dispatcher that the suspect was fighting the store’s security and had pulled out a knife.

When officers arrived, they found 26-year-old Timothy Le being held on the ground.

Security officials with the store told police that Le had loaded a 60-inch television onto a cart and pushed it past all the cash registers without paying for it.

When they tried to stop him, the security officers claim Le tried to walk away.

According to the police affidavit, the pair struggled and Le allegedly pulled out a knife from his pocket.

However, the knife was quickly taken out of his hand and confiscated by security.

Le was arrested and charged with grand larceny and larceny from a retailer.
