MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – An Oklahoma man who allegedly crashed into a car and killed two Guthrie school teachers has been charged with two counts of manslaughter.
Jennifer Briggs, 24, and Heather Wilson, 27, were both English teachers at Guthrie Junior High School.
“He was traveling the wrong direction in their lane and they went left to avoid him and they hit head on,” said Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lt. Betsy Randolph.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says both teachers were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Guthrie News Page, an OHP trooper found a pipe and a package of K2, a synthetic marijuana, inside his vehicle.
After he was mediflighted to the hospital, Baca allegedly told investigators he smoked some of the substance before going to work.
A warrant in the amount of $125,000 was issued for Baca’s arrest.
