OKLAHOMA CITY -- One man is dead after falling into a machine and becoming trapped.

Fire crews responded to help with what they thought was a rescue.

When they arrived, the man was already out but he had gone in to cardiac arrest.

The accident happened at a drilling site in the 3400 block of S.E. 59th St. near Bryant.

The rig is managed by horizon energy services, according to property signs.

Oklahoma City fire crews turned over the scene to Oklahoma City police.

It's not known how this victim ended up in the equipment or what type of machine he fell into.

Crime scene investigators are on scene.

Authorities say preliminary reports are that this was simply a tragic accident.
