Man fighting for his life after being shot several times in S.W. Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY – A man is in critical condition after being shot several times as he was running away from a gunman.

Police say a group of people were arguing in an apartment complex courtyard near S.W. 61st and Douglas when a man pulled out a gun.

As everyone started to run away, the man allegedly opened fire, hitting one victim multiple times.

The man was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He remains in critical condition.

Police are still on the lookout for the shooter.

“We have a suspect description of the shooter as a black male, wearing all black. Black shirt, blue jeans, black do-rag with a black hat on top of that. Left in either a small gold car or small silver SUV,” Lt. Jeff Spruill with the Oklahoma City Police Department said.
