UPDATE: 40-year-old man arrested for murder of Drumright resident

UPDATE: Authorities arrested a 40-year-old man for a murder that rocked a local community.

OSBI agents, the Drumright Police Department, the Oilton Police Department and the Creek County Drug Task Force arrested 40-year-old Gregory Hamilton Griffith.

Griffith was arrested for the murder of 64-year-old David Hunziker.

Officials say Griffith was an acquaintance of Hunziker.

The victim’s body was found inside his home by a family member last week.

The crime is still being investigated.


DRUMRIGHT, Okla. — The Drumright Police Department is investigating a possible homicide that occurred on Thursday night.

Just after 2 a.m. on Friday, a family member found 64-year-old David Eugene Hunziker dead inside his home on the 600 block of 5th St.

Drumright police secured the scene and called the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Numerous investigative agents, crime scene agents, and fingerprint analysts have responded. The medical examiner will perform an autopsy to provide investigators with the cause and manner of death.
