Man injured in shooting in N.W. Oklahoma City dies at hospital, suspect on the loose

OKLAHOMA CITY –  A man who was critically injured in a shooting in northwest Oklahoma City has succumbed to his injuries, police say.

Just before 1 p.m. on March 10, police officers were called to reports of a shooting in the 1100 block of N.W. 92nd Street.

Officers found Otto Reed, 19, in the backyard of a home in the area.  Police say he had been shot.

Reed was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a few hours later.

Police believe Reed was walking in the area of the 1100 block of W. Britton Rd when he was approached by the suspect.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, Reed ran from the suspect, who then shot him as he was trying to flee.

Police believe the suspect was driving a black 4-door sedan with black rims.

So far, no one has been arrested for Reed’s murder.
