HENRYETTA, Okla. – Authorities say the remains of a man and woman have been discovered in eastern Oklahoma.
Deputies from the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office say that a man was walking and picking up cans when he stumbled upon two bodies on Tuesday afternoon.
The bodies of the man and the woman were taken to the medical examiner’s office to be identified on Tuesday evening, according to KJRH.
Investigators say that there were no visible signs of trauma to the bodies. At this time, the man and woman have not been identified and officials say they do not match any missing persons in the area.
“We don’t have any reports of any missing folks at this time, which, you know, it’s Thanksgiving and I’m figuring that some folks will end up missing them before too long,” OSBI agent John Jones said.
McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are investigating.
