OKLAHOMA CITY - Police are searching for a suspect following a drive-by shooting that sent two people to the hospital.

It happened around 1 a.m. on Tuesday outside of a home on Creekwood Terrace, which is near S.E. 44th and Bryant.

"Trying to face the reality that I almost died last night," Billy Law told News 4.

It's not an easy thing to process, and Law said it was the last thing he expected after a night out with his girlfriend celebrating his birthday.

"We came back. We were sitting out there for about 20 minutes and, then, you know, cars drive by all the time. I didn't think anything of it," Law said.

However, this time was different. Law said, when they returned home, the two were sitting inside his car talking.

"Next thing you know, a car pulls up and started shooting at us in the car," Law said.

The bullets grazed Law's abdomen, and his girlfriend was shot in the face.

"She told me that she has a jaw fracture, and it taped her spine or something but the doctor said she should be fine. She has movement and everything," Law said.

"That's a very dangerous situation when you're in a situation and somebody is shooting at you," said MSgt. Gary Knight with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Police are still searching for the driver.

Laws said this was random, adding he has no idea who would want to hurt them.

"Still trying to wrap my mind around everything," Law said.

So far, no arrests have been made.

If you have information that could help police, call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300.
